BBQ Chicken Recipe
When summer comes there is nothing better then a good old bbq chicken recipe. That is why I want to share this honey bbq chicken recipe and original bbq chicken recipe with you.
Honey bbq chicken
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
Garlic salt
Seasoned salt
Pepper
½ extra virgin olive oil
½ c flour
½ bottle bbq sauce
½ c honey
Cut the chicken into ½” strips and place them in a large bowl. Pour the Worcestershire sauce over them and let soak for a minute or two.
Heat oil over medium/high heat to fry the chicken. Pull the chicken out of bowl and season with garlic salt, seasoned salt, and pepper. Then coat each one in flour and place in oil. Fry until golden brown and place on cookie sheet.
Mix the bbq sauce and honey together and brush it over the chicken. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes then pull out and brush with sauce again. Bake for another 10 minutes then enjoy.
This next bbq chicken recipe is very tasty and you make your own bbq sauce with it. The sauce is incredibly simple to make and requires to extra cooking.
BBQ Chicken
4 chicken breasts
1 c ketchup
2 Tbsp orange juice
¼ c dark brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp dry mustard powder
¼ tsp liquid smoke
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Preheat oven or grill to 375.
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, except the chicken. Remove about ¼-1/3 c of the sauce and set aside. Add the chicken to the large bowl and make sure it gets coated.
Place the chicken in a pan or on the grill and let cook for 40 minutes or until done. About 20 minutes into cooking baste the chicken with the reserved sauce.
Either of these recipes goes really well with corn, potato salad and/or jello.
