Chicken Breast Recipes are one of the best to have!

Why?  Well, chicken breast recipes are very handy because they are usually the cheapest to make.  And as everyone is experience the tight economic situation having recipes that are low cost are the best to have in you recipe box.  I love to cook and experiment with food, so I will be putting up the chicken breast recipes that I find are fairly easy, (since not everyone is a gourmet chef.)  Ones that are not so time consuming, (since we all have better things to do with are time,) and of course ones that are low cost.  My first recipe that I will share is one of my favorites and easiest to do, this one is a classic so most of you have probably done it or tried it, but it is a must have in any recipe box.

Needed:

2 lbs Chicken breasts

2 cans of cream of chicken soup

4 oz sour cream (optional)

Cheese to taste

Directions

In a mixing bowl add the sour cream and soup together, (you can also add 1/2 cup of cheese.)  If you aren’t using sour cream then just leave the soup in the cans and dismiss the beginning instructions.  Then put the chicken in a pan and pour the soup mixture over it.  Cover with tin foil and bake in oven at 350 for 40-50 minutes.   This can also be done in a slow cooker for 6-8 hours.  When finished sprinkle cheese over to give extra flavor and serve.

This goes well with mashed potatoes and you can use the leftover soup mixture as gravy. I’ve also done a baked potato and instead of putting butter and sour cream on it, I have just put the gravy on it, I do this when I am short on prep time.

I hope you have enjoyed my all-time favorite recipe and look forward to new chicken breast recipes in the future.

Until next time, keep the chicken cooking.
