Crockpot Chicken Breast Recipes: Part 3
Well after eating crockpot chicken breast recipes for 12 days straight my family has asked that I temporarily retire the crockpot and the use of chicken. So that being said this will be the last 2 recipes that we have tried and found to be very enjoyable.
This first recipe suggested making a chicken gravy with the leftover broth. I made the gravy but my family felt it was much better without the gravy, so I’m not including that with the recipe. However if you would like to do it you just take the broth add more to get 2 cups and stir in about 2-3 Tbsp of flour. Heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until thick enough.
Crockpot chicken breasts and veggies
3 lbs of chicken breast
2 sliced carrots
2 medium potatoes
2 sliced onions
2 celery stalks with leaves, chopped
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. dried basil
Layer the vegetables at the bottom on the crock pot; then put the chicken on top of them. Sprinkle the seasoning over the chicken and add the broth. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
This last crockpot chicken breast recipe is a tad bit on the fancier side and tastes absolutely divine. The bacon really flavors the chicken nicely. Also it is the first time I have used roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup, but it definitely makes it taste extra special. If you want to use regular cream of mushroom soup that would probably be fine. However, I would suggest you toast some fresh garlic and add that or at the very least add some garlic powder.
Bacon wrapped Chicken breasts
8 small boneless skinless chicken breast
8 slices of bacon
1 c sour cream
2 10 oz cans of roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup
½ c flour
Take each chicken breast and wrap a piece of bacon around it, if you want to secure it with a toothpick then you may but it is not necessary. Once you have wrapped the chicken the carefully place the chicken in the crockpot. In a separate bowl, combine the last 3 ingredients and mix until well blended; then pour this over the chicken. Cook on low for 6-8 hours and thoroughly enjoy eating this masterpiece.
