Low Cholesterol Chicken Breast Recipes
Are you looking for some low cholesterol chicken breast recipes? Well my mother just found out that she has really high cholesterol so she shared with me a few of her favorite recipes to share with you.
This first recipe is a real winner for those looking for heart healthy choices. This low cholesterol chicken breast recipe is also low in sodium and low-fat.
Lemon Chicken
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast
½ c chicken broth, reduced sodium
1 Tbs fresh Thyme, dried can be used but fresh will add a lot more flavor
¼ tsp ground black pepper
¼ c lemon juice
1 Tbs finely shredded lemon peel
2 lemons, halved
In a re-sealable bag combine the broth, thyme, pepper, lemon juice, and lemon peel. Close the bag and shake lightly to ensure ingredients are mixed well. Then add your chicken to the bag, close and marinade for at least 1 hour, turning bag occasionally.
Grill the chicken uncovered over medium heat for 15 minutes. While grilling turn the chicken a few time and brush with marinade. Do not brush chicken with marinade for last 5 minutes. About 4 minutes before the chicken is done place the lemon on the grill.
To serve the chicken place on plate with fresh thyme and grilled lemons.

White Wine Chicken
2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 c white wine
2 Tbsp of lemon juice, 1 lemon should do
Salt (salt substitute if needed), Pepper, Curry, Garlic Powder, Basil, Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme Leaves
Place the chicken in a pan with the lemon juice and white wine. In a bowl combine a pinch of each herb and seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning over the chicken breast and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, uncovering during the last 5 minutes.
